Direct Access Platforms Ltd – DAP –was formed in 1996, consolidating and growing an earlier formed company specialising in the service and repair of Hydraulic Platforms, especially those manufactured at that time by Simon Engineering.
In 1996 Simon decided to withdraw from manufacturing their world renowned range of “Snorkel” Fire Fighting Platforms utilising DAP’s services to fulfil their last remaining contractual obligations.
This was due in large part to DAP’s reputation for quality, a high level of service and competitive pricing.
Simon subsequently sold the manufacturing rights to their “Snorkel” and “Ranger” products and DAP became the sole manufacturer for both these ranges.
Time passes and DAP continues to expand its services into all areas of the World Wide Access Market.
From its facilities in Manchester, England, DAP now manufacture a full range of Industrial and Fire Fighting Platforms consisting of:
- Fire Ranger Tele Booms from 18 to 24m
- Fire Ranger Articulated Booms from 16 to 32m
- Ranger Tele Booms from 7 to 25m
- Ranger Articulated Booms from 10 to 15m
- Insulator Boom Washers from 30 to 44m
All products meet and exceed British and European standards and our range of Insulator Washers comply with IEEE requirements.
All products are delivered on a world wide basis, from Chile to China from Norway to Nigeria.
In addition to manufacturing DAP provide all the following services for all makes of Access Platforms, including truck mounted as well as self propelled units:
